Carol Brown-Pena

Carol Brown-Pena, known as CJ, is a Dallas native resident who graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High
School and completed her Degree Program in Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix. She is currently
employed at Remington College as an instructor and has worked in the medical field as a public servant for over
a decade in the State of Texas. Carol has dedicated years of service in the field of Orthopedics, Family Practice,
Pediatrics, Urgent Care and more. She also holds a licensed by the State of Texas in Radiology and is a strong
voice in the Cedar Hill community and currently sits on several boards, and hopes to give back to her city and
community by giving her time, volunteering and servicing others.
Carol has worked with several homeless shelters such as Union Mission and the Dallas Life Foundation. Carol
has volunteered and worked with CAD Global Marketing, Continental Management, and Mercy Builders as a
Consultant.
Carol is also an Entrepreneur; she is the Owner and Founder of Scoottie’s Homemade Pies & Edibles, and has
several years of experience as a baker and cook. Carol’s wide range of expertise and experience has allowed
her to gain knowledge in radio and Television, her Criminal Justice background with Power House Ministries
has allowed her to provide Personal Protection and security opportunities to many Corporate Professionals by
expanding certified personal protection to High profile executives, VIPs and CEOs.
Carol is also a musician; she has played drums since the tender age of 7. She has played for several local bands
in the Dallas FT. Worth area, from Jazz, R&B, Pop to Gospel. She has played with Crushing Velvet out of Ft.
Worth Texas and currently plays with “JFK” Just For Kick Pop Band.
Carol’s training and experiences also include; certifications in life-saving CPR and AED. Carol also enjoys
cooking, playing basketball, drumming and baking in her spare time.
